Die Clamps: Fixed and Removable Die Clamps

SERAPID offers an industry leading variety of hydraulic die clamps for typical as well as exceptional working environments. Clamping and unclamping of dies can be automatic (Fixed) or require only minimal manual intervention (Removable).

Fixed Die Clamps:
Fixed die clamps allow full automation of the die exchange process but require some standardization of the die interface. The die clamps are mounted permanently to press the bolster or ram at each clamping position. The transfer path for the die is cleared when the clamps are in the retracted position.

Removable Die Clamps:
Removable die clamps are more flexible but more labor intensive since they do not allow for full automation of the QDX process. For every die change the clamps must be removed and re-inserted manually.
